Please join Certified Human Resources Professional, Tory McNally, from Legacy Bowes to discuss the recent and upcoming increases to Manitoba’s minimum wage. From October 2022 to October 2023, the minimum wage is set to increase from $11.95 per hour to $15 per hour. Some of these increases have already come into force with more to follow in April and October of 2023. This rapid increase in wages is putting a strain on employers, even ones who have always prided themselves on paying above minimum wage. We will define and discuss wage compression, living wage versus minimum wage, and how to be an employer of choice. Come with your opinions, what is keeping you up at night, and, of course, questions. We will all work together to build best practices for coping with the increasing minimum wage in Manitoba.
